Since his second entry was about the Observer pattern, I thought I'd write about its Ruby implementation. A factory takes responsibility to create objects. The first two patterns that will be covered are the Observer Pattern and the Singleton Pattern. Is it still wrong if everyone is doing it? Last week, I wrote about the Singleton pattern in Ruby much like Rusty Divine did about Java/C#/.NET. Factory Design Pattern is one of the simple Design Pattern. Thus removes logic duplication and creational logics from code. I also showed off a Ruby version of a design pattern known as the Policy pattern, or sometimes the Strategy pattern.
